Reborn on the Day I Asked for the Phoenix Princess's Hand

My younger brother and I chose our brides at the same time. He picked a princess of the phoenix clan, while I chose an ordinary crow. After our weddings, both our wives laid eggs at the same time. His egg glowed with a magnificent golden light, while my several eggs looked uglier than ordinary chicken eggs. But before mine could hatch, a fire broke out at home. My wife and my five eggs were reborn in the flames as the ancient Five Phoenixes, causing a sensation across the three realms. My younger brother’s egg showed no signs of hatching for a whole year. When he went to check on it, all he found was a stench. He went mad and, while I was comforting him, chopped off my head with a blade. When I opened my eyes again, we were back on the day we chose our brides. This time, my younger brother finally got a phoenix, but it couldn’t fly.
