I Grind Proficiency to Gain Divine Office

In a world of the Divine Way, gods stand everywhere, from lowly spirits and makeshift deities to ninth-rank common gods, eighth-rank village gods, seventh-rank community gods, and all the way up to transcendent heavenly gods. Every kind can be found.

The gods absorb incense offerings and grant blessings to their followers. They can improve one's fortune, offer guidance, help conceive children, tell fortunes, and much more.

They can also bless cultivators and cure their mutations.

Since gods cannot be looked upon directly, divine officials must act in their stead.

My name is Wang Qing. I'm sixteen, and I'm a divine official. The temple enshrines the Sea Goddess, nicknamed the Sea Witch. She sits among the honored gods and is a ranked deity, but she hasn't answered anyone in decades, and her offerings have dwindled.

Luckily, I have a proficiency panel that lets me grind away at my divine duties!
