Merit-Building Immortal Cultivation Begins with the Ten Thousand Souls Banner

The Ten Thousand Souls Banner specializes in slaughter and is the calling card of demonic cultivators. The Merit Golden Lotus commands merit and symbolizes the sages of the mortal world. As soon as Zhuo Youyu arrived in the cultivation world, a Ten Thousand Souls Banner smacked him in the face, along with a Merit Golden Lotus. In a place wreathed in black qi, a cultivator shouted down at the vengeful spirits below, “Human Emperor Banner, absorb their souls!” Zhuo Youyu clasped his hands in greeting. “Fellow Daoist, why is your Human Emperor Banner billowing black smoke?” “Nonsense! That's not black smoke. It's righteous qi!” “Then what about those ghostly wails?” “Those are the demons sealed inside, howling.” “Do you even believe that yourself, fellow Daoist?” “You know too much. You should join my Human Emperor Banner, too.” “Huh! You have a soul banner too? But why is your merit skyrocketing?” “Are you not a demonic cultivator? Have you been using me to farm merit?”
