From the introduction, I guessed that this book would probably not be good. The last sentence of the introduction is "No one threatened them, but someone put a knife to their necks." Putting a knife on your neck is not a threat, so what is a threat? Even the introduction is so confusing, and I have basically no expectations for the main text.
