I Entered the Immortal Cultivating Game

Just like the title, I was confused when I read the first chapter. If the protagonist really traveled through time, why would even the location of the herbs growing on the roadside be exactly the same as in the game? Isn't this too detailed? After all, the game is set to death. If it were a real world, how could it be exactly the same as the game in detail? Or maybe the protagonist is playing an immersive game that has been passed multiple times and forgets that he is playing a game? Or maybe the protagonist is an aboriginal, and all the memories are instilled by the world? Therefore, the protagonist knows exactly where the herbs grow as if he had opened the entire map.
