The Chinese-Style Wizard

This is an age that calls for innovation.

My pitch:

“Chinese flavor” + “wizard”

How will you respond, sir?

The following is a “what if” scene:

At the edge of the universe, all is a vast expanse of white. There, a black river, at once illusory and real, flows on. Its movements are unfathomable, its form indescribable. As the saying goes:

True and false, impossible to discern; formed or formless, known only to the wise.

Yet in the middle of this river, beyond the comprehension of all living things, a robed figure happens to be sitting cross-legged. Looking closer, one sees:

His face glows purple, inspiring awe; his long hair drifts in the wind, as if woven from the threads of the Dao.

But study him closely, and you’ll find yourself unable to explain or describe him.

In an instant, purple light bursts forth, followed by a voice:

“Fellow Daoist, you’re attached to appearances.”

This is a wizard novel steeped in Chinese flavor.
