I’m the Demon-Slaying Constable of the Suppression Bureau, and I’m Doomed from the Start

For eight hundred years, the Great Qin has been plagued by demons and monsters, with ghosts and fiends running rampant. Chu Xuan was a ninth-rank constable in the Demon-Suppressing Office, with a bright future ahead of him. But after standing up for the wronged and beating the Left Chancellor’s son to a pulp, he was thrown in prison and sentenced to death. By a twist of fate, he became an executioner in the Heavenly Prison, an executioner acting on Heaven’s behalf. From then on, he carried out Heaven’s justice. Those who defied the Heavenly Dao were executed. Those who disrespected the law were executed. Those who failed to distinguish good from evil were executed. Those who offended his true self were executed. Follow Heaven and live. Defy me, and face execution. What? Suppressing demons can boost my cultivation? Slaying fiends can earn me cultivation arts? Butchering ghosts can grant me special physiques? Killing monsters can trigger sudden enlightenment? And so, an executioner who suppressed demons, exterminated fiends, slew immortals, and killed gods came to awe the ages!
