Blazing Through the Heavens: Sorrow and Thorns

What changes and growth will five high school students undergo when they transmigrate from the modern world to a strange new one, amid the rapid shifts between peace and war, hope and destruction, memory and reality?

Le Feng, Shi Yunge, Gu Xingshuo, Shu Yang, and Ming Yu were once the best of friends, looking forward to a wonderful future.

But everything changed. They arrived in this strange world, losing their families, teachers, classmates, and the peaceful world they had known. Here, their ideals were put to the test... Perhaps it was fate that set them on opposing paths.

“Yes, I know choosing war is wrong, but I don’t regret it! I came to this world and found myself living in this darkest of ages, among these people. Everyone around me tells me this is right, this is justice. Fighting for your homeland, that is absolute justice!”

Le Feng’s voice was icy.

“In this world, we have no choice but to be chosen! Do you understand? I can’t escape, and neither can you!”

Over the course of their lives, they transformed from frail boys into legends, burying their memories as they walked a path to adulthood filled with sorrow and thorns.

But when they reached the heights of power and looked back, they discovered that the five dashing young men they had once been had long since become a pile of bones in a grave.

“So it was us, when we were young... who buried ourselves with our own hands.”
