Ming Dynasty: A World in Turmoil

This is an alternate-history setting, in a version of the Ming Dynasty. The story begins in the late Wanli era. Most historical names have been omitted. Any resemblance to actual people or events is purely coincidental. In short, this is the story of a bold brother and sister who, in a world without immortals, dream of becoming immortal while muddling through life among ordinary people. “Brother, the Dowager Consort knocked out the emperor, and I got rid of her.
