The cosmos and all the worlds within it are born from two common laws: the past and the future. The past and the future are also the lords of all things, the two great laws known respectively as Sumo and Yishen. Since ancient times, gods and demons have been at odds. The past and the future cannot exist at the same point in time, and the world can only remain balanced when yin and yang are divided. The story that follows mainly concerns Sumo's side. Sumo: “Su” represents the past tense, as well as the Law of the Past. Tang Chengyu is obsessed with ethereal, illusory cultivation. He buys a pile of books on the occult and magical artifacts from Pinduoduo. One night, he learns a summoning spell from a pirated book, but the one he summons turns out not to be a god. He is entangled in karma, and there is no way back.
