You Said the Game Was Free, So How Did You Become the Richest Man?

Lu Fan transmigrates to a parallel world and discovers, to his surprise, that every game costs money. Whether it’s a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription, every game on the market requires you to pay before you can play. As a tech geek, Lu Fan is instantly furious. “Those damn capitalists! Don’t we, the players, have the right to choose whether or not to spend money on games? I’m going to save them!” Dungeon Fighter Online, CrossFire, League of Legends, Honor of Kings... One free game after another hits the market! Players: “He’s willing to make free games even at a loss. President Lu is the most passionate entrepreneur I’ve ever seen.” Lu Fan: “Yeah, exactly. I’m practically losing my way to becoming the richest man alive.” Then come the Blaze Star loot boxes, holiday outfits, legendary skins, the Golden Fire Qilin worth 888, and all kinds of ways to charge players. Before long, they’re happily reaching for their wallets.
