The Quest for Immortality

I have to hurry up and find a woman to have a baby. I believe my grandson will tell me that Mo Hua has established a foundation.

Let's talk about the conclusion first. The writing is delicate and vivid, which is considered a rare masterpiece in Qidian. However, the plot carried on top of the excellent writing is too simple, too straightforward, and too dull. It is a complete waste of writing. As for the central principle of the whole text, it highlights the tastelessness of food and the pity of discarding it. I believe that many readers came in for the "formation" at first glance, but so far, there is no difference between the so-called "formation" and "talisman", and they have simply become a stepping stone for the protagonist to cheat, which is quite a pity. For readers who like slow-paced storytelling and a slowly unfolding worldview, this book is definitely not to be missed. However, for readers who just want a refreshing read or have requirements for plot conflicts, it is recommended to read with caution. The following is a detailed review, which will involve spoilers of Shaolian and certain dissatisfaction with the plot and opinions on modifications. During this period, it may involve some other works, but it does not mean to criticize them, it just points out a direction, and I also admit that the books I gave examples also have other problems. (Crazy Stacking of Armor) The first volume of Questioning Formation is centered on the protagonist's apprenticeship and a series of events triggered during the period as clues, but the core is actually the foreshadowing of the world view. Therefore, although our perspective is on the protagonist, we are actually using the protagonist's ears to understand the current situation of the world, whether it is the Taoist court's monopoly of resources, the domineering and profound heritage of the aristocratic family, or the hardship of life among the low-level casual cultivators. This writing method is actually a bit similar to the first volume of "Sword Comes", which uses Chen Pingan's perspective to expand the worldview and understand the world's various schools of thought and the four major worlds. So there is definitely no problem with this writing method, then the problem lies with the characters that carry the plot. The first problem is that the characters are seriously homogenized. The entire group of casual cultivators, centered on the people around the protagonist, are almost all the same. As long as the protagonist gives help, they will be friendly and kind to the protagonist, and then feel that they owe the protagonist and try their best to make up for it. This way of writing is fine for one or two people, but it becomes problematic when everyone thinks this way. Because people are diverse after all, we yearn for kindness, but we cannot deny the darkness in human nature. There are arguments that we should stick together because we are poor, and "if we are poor, we foster evil schemes." There will be disputes that we cannot share the joys and sorrows together after all the hardships. But none of these are in the plot, so the characters around the protagonist are untenable, empty and tasteless. On the other hand, the villains do not have the oppressive feeling they deserve. The early villains, the Qian family, were the number one family in the city and even turned the sects in the city into their own industry, monopolizing almost all industries. Such a villain should be oppressive, full of arrogance and domineering, and make the protagonist feel like a dark cloud. But actually? The protagonist goes out on the street to scold the children of aristocratic families, but a big aristocratic family would not even dare to do anything dirty. You didn't dare to kill anyone and smashed up the restaurant anyway? If not, why don't you make some conspiracy to squeeze out the protagonist's business? It is said to be number one. The combined strength of any two companies can be offset by adding them together. He was said to be good at conspiracy, but in the end he only knew how to fight hard when robbing the mine. If you couldn't defeat the mine, wouldn't you attack your family? If you can't beat the elders, you won't bully the younger girls? There isn't a master in the city across the way, so why don't you dare touch a few children? Can you play? Not to mention that the court doesn't allow it, why don't you find a few people to take the blame? He didn't raise many dead soldiers and so on, but he still had the nerve to say that he was from a noble family. The elder was the same in the past, and the head of the family was the same except that he didn't say anything and pretended to be cool. I don't know who is behind the conspiracy. Wouldn't he spend some money to bribe and offer a reward? There are always people who are short of money. The result of the lack of villains is that the plot lacks conflict and is boring. As for the core formation, it is even more heavyweight. Although it is difficult to boast about the formation, it is unambiguous in cheating and the focus is unclear. Here is an example of another work "Endless Sword Armor" with sword array as its core, so the protagonist is either collecting array diagrams or looking for good swords along the way. However, the core formation of the Wen Zhen lacks uniqueness and forcibly squeezes out the settings of the talismans and seals, resulting in nondescript results. I can only say that I hope the author will not waste his writing skills. Writing is not easy, and it is not easy for readers to follow up. Please produce better plots. I also hope that the author's works will have a better future.

5.19 Million words to build a foundation is simply a joke. Your author name should not be Guanxu. You called it better to watch the sea, but it is all water. I want to eat this book until I die. It is really ugly. It is not worth it for me to pay to read your chapter. It is disgusting.

This novel is the most pyrotechnic in the world of immortality. Just like a mortal with magic, there is no bitterness or hatred, but more of a sense of responsibility and responsibility to complain about, and also has its own calculations. Seeing the world as innocently as a child, but not in black and white. Innocent Heart

This book is generally good, and the use of formations to enter the Tao is also good. It is just a bit confusing and unsystematic. The learning and application of formations seem a bit fragmented. The main character sometimes uses the formations by waving his hands. After learning so many formations, he can basically only use a few, and it seems that he can never use others. He can see through formations, solve formations, and even create his own formations. Unfortunately, it still feels like a housewife when writing it. The protagonist's mind is a bit young, and the author also deliberately creates this feeling by delegating the minds of other characters. The first priority is to adapt to the protagonist's behavior. Sometimes it is uncomfortable to let the protagonist mess around. To be honest, Mo Hua is now 19 years old. He was born in a poor family, traveled all over the world, and has seen a lot of the world. It is not necessary to stick to this childish writing method. He does not look like a 19-year-old, he really looks like a 9-year-old. Proper growth is beneficial to the body and mind. Also, the update is also relatively slow. I forgot how long it has been up. I can only look at it twice.

I just re-read the first three chapters and found that the author placed too much emphasis on formations. No matter what, in the novels about cultivating immortals, isn't it necessary to improve the cultivation level as the main force? I mentioned spiritual consciousness. They all serve to improve cultivation. Don't let readers think that cultivation serves the formation when reading the book. Don't reverse the priorities.

The author writes very well, the writing style is quite immersive, the world seems very real, and the world view is very detailed and self-consistent. Why doesn't it take off? Is it because it heats up too slowly? It takes more than four hundred chapters to practice Qi at the eighth level. In all aspects of cultivating immortality, formation is king. It is said that, and the fact is that it works the same way. However, those low-level immortal cultivators still feel that they do not pay enough attention to this. It's better to have a plot where you can't learn but your parents force you to learn, or you have expectations but are defeated by the hard reality. The decision before the Black Mountain Killing Feng Xi was well written, but the climax of the pig killing lacked a bit of explosiveness. Another thing to consider is that the reading experience of readers who follow updates is not so continuous, so they will feel a bit watered down, so the cool points of daily updates should be set better or more densely. Also, the character creation is pretty good and could be improved. Bai Zisheng, Bai Zixi and Huai Lao are still too thin. Just a few label impressions, Mr. Zhuang is okay. If Bai Zixi wants to be the protagonist's Taoist priest in the future, there may be too little foreshadowing. Maybe the author wanted to write the feeling of being as light as water and natural, and it was indeed achieved. So it is even more important to shape her well and be more three-dimensional. For example, in Killing Feng Xi, there is no point of view from Bai Zixi and Bai Zixi. If you add it, it will become more logical for Bai Zixi to gradually fall in love with Mo Hua. Moreover, the two brothers and sisters' sympathy and sense of justice for the low-level monks are still too thinly described, and it seems that they are all just the chivalrous heart seen in the story novel. This aspect may need more portrayal. But I have to say that the Black Mountain Volume is very cleverly set up from the foreshadowing of feeding monsters at the beginning to the final revelation. In fact, Qian Laozu can lay out his plot more in the front. After all, he has a very charming personality. At the end, he may have to add his views on Taoists. It might be better to write about the feeling that I know I am a demon but I am willing to be a demon. From this foreshadowing, it is very good to write about the situation of Tongxian City throughout the entire volume as a microcosm of the low-level monks. It can be seen from this that the author still has great ideas. There are also carnivores (such as Dao Tingsi). They can't all be dark and conciliatory. It's better to write about middle-level people who are upright but suppressed, but still don't give up. Moreover, it is best for this person to have climbed up from the bottom, rather than being a child of an aristocratic family. He seems to have the confidence to uphold justice only with the support of his family, and his personality charm will be described. Summary (let's tag it): Good setting, good writing, particularly slow-burning, cool points, good setting, quite thoughtful (I want to incorporate some concepts into the plot), and a sense of immersion. Some characters are a bit flat but overall it's okay. Finally, I wish the author better and better results. This book is considered a masterpiece in my heart. Don't lose confidence and go and express all the world in your heart! 😍
