We’ll Meet Someday

Tong Xiaojing had her life all planned out when her lover suddenly betrayed her. As she struggled with heartbreak, her beloved second uncle was involved in an accident, and his purple pottery workshop faced closure. People had always looked down on her uncle for insisting on preserving traditional craftsmanship. His devotion and perseverance helped her understand that every one of the 108 steps in making purple pottery embodied an artisan's hopes and hard work. In the face of pressure, she resolutely took on the responsibility of running the workshop, guiding clay through a dazzling transformation into pottery. The day she mastered the craft, Tong Xiaojing understood that perhaps fate had let her meet Meng Juntuo three times a day so he could save her when she was lost, and help her persevere to this day. Meng Juntuo said that he, too, had been saved by meeting her. This is the story of two young people from different fields who are brought together by the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, come to understand one another, and pledge themselves to each other.
