I Establish the Way for Humanity in Journey to the West

My new book is out: Strange Tales, Starting with the Red Mist This is the world of Journey to the West. Here, Buddha’s power is boundless, and demons slaughter the living. Put down your butcher’s knife and take refuge in Buddha, and all your sins will be forgiven after three cups of wine. Here, celestial beings fill the skies, standing high above all, enjoying the incense offerings of humankind. Show them disrespect, even once, and you’ll face their thunderous wrath. This is the mortal world, where people are no more than blades of grass, struggling like ants to survive before the celestial beings and Buddhas of the nine heavens. Until... Li Xiuyuan, carrying an axe and using rotten wood as a staff, accidentally entered Three Saints Mountain, where a celestial’s cave abode stood: Three Saints Palace. Before it became Three Saints Palace, it was known as Lion Camel Ridge. Once he saw the truth about the immortals and Buddhas, he took up the supreme divine axe and began to cleave a bright new world for humankind! Based solely on the original Journey to the West and its TV adaptations. No Primordial World! No Investiture of the Gods!
