In the near future, the "Forerunner" spacecraft, the greatest crystallization of mankind's latest aerospace power, sets off from the earth on behalf of the entire human race to Alpha Centauri, about four light-years away from the earth, to witness the first time that mankind has seen real star systems other than the solar system. However, not long after the spacecraft arrived at its destination, unforeseen major changes occurred on the earth, and the entire human civilization almost perished. At the end when communications were about to be lost, the Earth issued a final order to the spacecraft's artificial intelligence to shut down all life-support systems.
