A Blazing White Rose

[Old flames rekindled x angsty romance] 1. The Beginning Shen Ye was aloof and proud, with grades that always topped the class. No one could take first place from him. Mu Xiaoxi was timid and insecure, often bullied, and consistently ranked second, earning the envy of others. They had attended the same middle school, and met again beneath the morning sun. Mu Xiaoxi's sunlit smile became Shen Ye's first and only flutter of the heart as a teenager. Shen Ye's arrival was like a ray of light in the darkness, driving it away. Whenever someone bullied Mu Xiaoxi, Shen Ye would appear just in time, pulling her into his arms and making her blush. “Allow me to introduce her. This is my girlfriend. We're madly in love.” “?!” But after the college entrance exams, Mu Xiaoxi vanished without a trace, leaving behind only a page in the class yearbook. “Sunflowers can never touch the sun. Only the clouds can stay by their side.” 2. Reunion After completing her advanced studies, Mu Xiaoxi returned to Xuanshan and ran into Shen Ye. Shen Ye lifted her chin and slowly leaned closer. Mu Xiaoxi abruptly pulled away, took out her phone, and pointed to the profile picture of the online friend who had kept her company ever since high school graduation. Her expression was icy. “I have someone. Don't bother me.” 3. Mu Xiaoxi's jobs went smoothly one after another, but that soon sparked rumors. “Apparently, she used to date the famous writer Shen Ye, and now she's cozying up to the son of Xuanshan's richest man.” “Tut, tut! You really can't judge a book by its cover.” She didn't care what people said about her, but one person couldn't sit still any longer. The next day, the richest man's son made an official announcement, shocking Xuancheng. “I'm Shen Ye. We never broke up. She's my girlfriend.” Attached: a picture of Mu Xiaoxi. P.S. In my eyes, you're not a sunflower chasing the sun, but a white rose embraced by love.
