Married to Two Brothers by Mistake in the 1970S, the Sisters Thrive in the Army

【1970s / Sisters Swap Marriages / Military Life on an Island / Married First, Love Later】 The year the Song family fell into trouble, their father sent his two daughters to join the military on an island in the middle of the night. The elder sister, Song Zhiwei, had returned from studying abroad. She was refined and well-read, fluent in several languages, and promised to the cool, ascetic research genius at the island institute. The younger sister, Song Chunhe, had barely spent a few days in school. She loved taking machines apart and climbing onto rooftops, and was bolder than any man. She was promised to a rough-edged officer at the island garrison, famous for being impossible to deal with. One match was a talented man and a beautiful woman; the other, a pair of happy-go-lucky bickering lovers. Either way, they seemed like perfect matches. But on the day they headed to the island to marry, a violent storm turned everything upside down. Song Zhiwei was so seasick she passed out. In the confusion, Song Chunhe grabbed the wrong luggage and put on the wrong clothes. When the sisters woke up in their marital beds the next morning: The elder sister found a broad-shouldered, long-legged officer with muscles all over lying beside her. The younger sister was wrapped in the arms of a cool, dignified research big shot. The sisters: “…” This is bad. We married the wrong husbands! Everyone in the military family compound was waiting to laugh at the Songs. They said the pampered capitalist heiress wouldn’t last through the hardships of island life, and that the uncultured wild girl was no match for a researcher trained by the state. But as the days went by… With her fluent foreign languages, Song Zhiwei became an indispensable translator at the institute. Song Chunhe casually took apart an imported machine and solved a technical problem that had stumped experts for half a year. And what about the two men who supposedly married the wrong wives? The rough-edged officer pampered the gentle elder sister so much that she became more and more spoiled. The cool researcher cornered the younger sister in the lab, his ears red as he asked: “Could you stop calling me brother-in-law and call me hubby instead?”
