Beast Taming: Evolution? Only Fools Choose Evolution!

Bai Hao was an ordinary person who transmigrated to a world where beast taming was the norm.

He soon discovered that both the world and its people were very strange.

The strange thing about this world was that evolution seemed to be the only way to make a tamed beast stronger.

Evolution, and nothing but evolution!

But if you insist on evolving, why do you get uglier with every evolution?

Is this some kind of strength-through-ugliness thing?

Do you trade good looks for power or what?

What's more, a tamed beast that has evolved once is stronger than one that hasn't. By the same logic, one that's evolved twice is stronger than one that's evolved three times, and one that's evolved three times is stronger than one that's evolved four times.

High-level battles are downright painful to watch!

They don't even understand why the same kind of tamed beast can evolve a different number of times.

Skill proficiency, what resources the beast has consumed, or any other special conditions: they haven't got a clue.

Yet they all yearn to have tamed beasts with more evolutions.

They don't even worry about watching them so long they'll get eye strain.

And the strange thing about the people themselves...

You could smash their heads in, and they'd still stubbornly cling to their beliefs.

"My beast can evolve more times than yours. It has more potential. You're only stronger than me for now..."

Then they'll even yell at you: "Thirty years east of the river, thirty years west of the river. Don't look down on a poor young man!"

Once or twice, you could let it slide.

But they lose every time, and they yell every time. You could crush every bone in their bodies, and they'd still refuse to back down.

What are you supposed to do with people like that?
