Solving the Case: The Angel’s Broken Wing

I met a girl in my first year of college. She was beautiful, with a sweet voice, and she looked especially lovely in a plaid skirt the first time I saw her. Later, I saw her at a bar. A few days after that, she jumped to her death. After my big sister died, I unexpectedly gained the ability to travel freely through any point in the past or future and see anything I wanted. Of course, it came at a price. I never expected that when I decided to drop out of school and become a detective, my very first case would be about her. I’ll never forget the look in her eyes when she came to see me. Calmly, she told me she’d seen the two people she had killed in the past, laughing and chatting in that very bar. Staring at her death report on the table, I couldn’t decide whether I should ask if she was badly hurt, or whether I should ask if she had really killed anyone, or whether I should ask if she was sure she’d seen them. She was a nineteen-year-old girl, usually quiet and reserved. She didn’t look like the sort of person who could be so cruel. But only someone with a brain like mine, kicked in by a donkey, would choose to believe her. Because ever since my big sister died, I’ve been willing to believe in ghosts. At least then she could become the wind and rain of this world and embrace me, instead of leaving me all alone. As for this case... It seems there’s more to it than meets the eye. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Xia Tian. I’m a tall eighteen-year-old guy. Don’t get your hopes up, I don’t have abs. If you want to have a good time this summer, don’t open this book. It’s a little mind-bending and a little heartbreaking. If you can figure out the truth... then I’ll write the next book for you.
