The Black Cat Air Squadron in Dire Straits

Long, long ago, several enormous holes suddenly appeared in the skies above the Land of Desperation. All sorts of objects fell through them, along with foreigners who called themselves the Yuhans, the Americs, the Deiths, and the Lucias. Towns sprang up in places that had once been uninhabited. Oil wells and factories rose from the wilderness, and an object known as an airplane was quietly changing people's lives. Though the holes eventually closed, the technology and knowledge the newcomers left behind took root and flourished here. Airplanes let people soar through the skies, and the almost inexhaustible supply of oil laid the foundation for the development of aviation. The great age of aviation in the Land of Desperation had arrived.
