[Variety Shows + Fake Dating + Lawyer Cases] [A Cool, Straight-Shooting Lawyer Who Puts on an Act] X [A Super-Charming Movie Emperor with 800 Schemes] Shen Mingjin’s sworn rival, Lin Xingshan, showed up at her door with an offer: two million a month to enter a fake marriage with him. The job included, but wasn’t limited to, accompanying him to all sorts of variety shows, interviews, and events! Most importantly, they had to act lovey-dovey in front of other people! Fine, then. A marriage is a marriage. Only a fool would turn down money. It’s just acting like we’re in love, right? I’ll drown you in so much artificial sweetness you’ll choke! - While Lin Xingshan was filming, paparazzi caught Shen visiting him on set and snapped a photo that made it look like they were sharing a passionate kiss. In reality, they were both silently counting down the seconds until it was over. When Lin Xingshan accepted an award, she watched from below with tears in her eyes. Actually, her eyelashes were poking her. - When the two appeared together on a variety show: Lin Xingshan, who never cooked, rolled up his sleeves and made meals for Shen Mingjin; Lin Xingshan, who never did laundry, hand-washed Shen Mingjin’s delicates. - Later, when Movie Emperor Lin was exposed for secretly lurking in the fan forum for the Jin Xiu CP, he also discovered that Ms. Shen had been signing in at the anti-CP forum for half a year... And every now and then, she’d drop some explosive revelations: “Those two aren’t lovey-dovey at all. They’ve been fighting since they were kids, tattling on each other, competing viciously over exams, and hating the sight of each other! They’ve been planning to get divorced for ages!”
