Madam Pei Is Off to Save the World Again

[One-on-one romance, modern superpowers, modern setting at first, biohazard, satisfying revenge, two powerful leads] Silly version: A high school girl with superpowers and the strength of an ox. A shape-shifting bracelet that does whatever she wants, and a devoted young general always by her side. Click to check it out, come on in! Regular version: The entire research team studying a meteorite dies, and all their data and documents are sealed away in the archives. Thirty years later, a virus strain erupts unexpectedly. Bacteria carrying the virus spread across the country with artificial rainfall, and zombies begin appearing everywhere. The police protect the public, while superpowered individuals are responsible for eliminating the zombies. A cat abused by a famous streamer turns into a zombie and bites her to death. Children who were trafficked and abused turn into zombies and bite their traffickers to death. Animals bullied and tortured by a circus turn into zombies and bite the staff to death. Exploited migrant workers turn into zombies and bite the factory owner responsible for dumping wastewater. But the more potent parent virus breeds intelligent animal zombies, one after another, each with a mind of its own. This gives rise to the infamous P-13 Cities: thirteen cities, each with its own character and its own rules of survival. Ever-shifting swamplands surrounded by poisonous gas. The deep sea, thousands of meters below the surface. Dry plains where it never rains. Mysterious, terrifying tropical rainforests. Ji Ping'an: a justice-minded girl with superhuman strength and little empathy. Pei Qingyun: a free-spirited federal general. The early chapters take place in the modern world and plant the seeds. The virus erupts in the middle, and the zombies are brought under control in the later chapters. [United with the Federation, sharing in its honor and its shame.]
