On Our Wedding Night, I Cured the Blind Crown Prince’s Hidden Affliction

An imperial decree of marriage binds Li Yuyan to the blind, frail Crown Prince.

The world scoffs: a useless fool who is supposedly the ugliest woman alive, and a blind, frail man with a hidden affliction. A perfect match!

In public,

Li Yuyan cracks her knuckles and loosens up. “His Highness is gentle as jade, pure and kind. Don't you dare say a word against him. If you've got a problem, come at me!”

The blind Crown Prince, his eyes covered by a white veil, smiles warmly. “The Crown Princess comes from a backwater village and doesn't know much. Don't bully her. Come at me instead!”

In private,

she thinks that if he kicks the bucket, she'll inherit a fortune.

He reckons that if she gets out of line, he'll have to get rid of her as soon as possible.

--

Little do they know, the woman who's returned from that backwater village is stunningly beautiful, brilliantly gifted, and utterly dazzling.

And the sinister, unhinged Crown Prince gradually realizes that the miracle doctor people have offered a fortune to find is right beside him.

On their wedding night, she holds her aching waist and asks, “Didn't you have a hidden affliction?”

He smiles and replies, “Perhaps the Crown Princess cured me.”

Nonsense! She only treated his eye condition and his cold ailment, not his hidden affliction.

When she realizes she's been deceived, she tries to escape.

He easily pins her in place, the corners of his eyes tinged red, and says in a low, seductive voice, “To me, Crown Princess, you are like the dawn breaking after an endless night.”
