The Evil Ghost in My Bottle

That is right! Nervous sensitivity: I have always been, and still am, extremely, extremely nervous-sensitive. But why do you insist on saying that I am insane? This illness once made my senses keen. It did not render them useless, nor did it dull them. My perceptions were especially acute. I had seen the starry sky, listened to Hell, and glimpsed all the myriad things of the human world. Then how could I be insane? Listen carefully, and observe how perfectly sane, how composed and calm I am as I tell you this complete story. What? You ask what is in the bottle? Something marvelous: it is a sensation, the sensation of being dragged into a grave while still breathing. Within it are amusement, terror, emotion, fantasy, and erudition. Su Yu had a wondrous dream. When he awoke, he had become a merchant who sold bottles. Heaven's order collapsed, strange beings entered the world, great clans rose everywhere, and chaos followed one wave after another. Ghosts in lamps, people in dreams, merchants who sold hearts, wicked old men in the snow... Su Yu carefully sealed these things in bottles before plunging headfirst into this bizarre and extraordinary world.
