Hunting the Stars

The moment Huan Ying logged onto the Star Network, all the onlookers watched her with amusement. Some called out, “Huan Ying, you’ve gotten another boss killed!”

She didn’t answer. Instead, she told the headhunter, “I’m ready to change jobs. Find me a good boss,” and tossed out a dozen medals.

The onlookers deliberately raised their voices again: “You must have done something to your last boss, too!”

Huan Ying widened her eyes. “How can you just make things up and slander me…”

“What do you mean, slander? I saw you send your superior to a military tribunal with my own eyes. They sentenced him to death.”

Huan Ying flushed and argued, “Can a boss who abuses their subordinates even be called a boss? … And how is the military tribunal’s verdict my fault?”

She went on with one baffling phrase after another, things like “You reap what you sow, so don’t complain,” and “May the crown of glory absolve me of all guilt.” Everyone burst out laughing. The Star Network was filled with a cheerful atmosphere.
