The Young Hero of Dragon Gate

The story takes place during the transition from the late Ming to the early Qing dynasty. When the protagonist, Long Tianze, is eight years old, his father, Long Jiacheng, is executed for refusing to cooperate with the Qing army's new policy of shaving the head and wearing a queue. The authorities hunt Long Tianze as well, but he is rescued by the reclusive “Madman Hong” and grows up in the mountains, mastering martial arts and creating his own “Longmen Technique.” He becomes known as the “Young Hero of Longmen.” After leaving the mountains, he ventures out into the world, stands up for justice, and kills his enemy, only to be hunted by the authorities once more. At last, he meets a woman warrior on Jiutian Mountain and begins a new life in the martial world. This is a gripping, exciting story well worth reading.
