Pill Emperor, Martial Emperor

One hundred thousand warriors in white raise their blades to guard Heaven's Gate! A million evil spirits carry coffins to battle at Kunlun! Phoenix crowns and bridal robes, bloodstained clothes and withered faces, bone lanterns and blood candles illuminate the cycle of rebirth! A thousand years ago, a divine emperor fought his way to supremacy on the battlefield of a hundred clans. He founded an everlasting divine dynasty and sought the supreme imperial throne, hoping to establish the Ninth Imperial Clan. But heroes rose against him, and the hundred clans rebelled. On the very day he was to become emperor, he fell in battle atop the Heavenly Bridge. The empress wept blood and cried out to the southeast, leading the dynasty's last surviving troops in a bloody breakout from the battlefield of a hundred clans. To ensure the emperor could be reborn in another life, the empress burned her blood and bones to light the Nine Netherworlds. The Asura sacrificed himself, carrying the coffin down to the Yellow Springs, while thirty-six guardian generals raised their blades and turned to stone, eternally guarding the southeastern Gate of Heaven. The loyal spirits of the dynasty offered up their power in a heavenly sacrifice, together protecting the emperor's cycle of rebirth, so he could return to the Nine Provinces. A thousand years later, the emperor's golden body was reborn in Cangxuan.
