When Will Caiwei Speak?

If love is too heavy to bear, can hatred be a place to put it? The master of Caiwei Realm, a hermit who lives in quiet seclusion, never wanted to linger in this mundane world, yet she was swept into his tumultuous life. A hostage prince from Dongqi, cursed with misfortune, he was once a solitary, icy star in this world, yet he fell into her gentle spring rain among pear blossoms. Snow-capped mountains, bright osmanthus moons. He remembered their first meeting: she kissed the pear blossom floating in his cup, pure as a flawless spirit pearl that had strayed into the mortal realm, glowing without a trace of worldly dust. She, too, remembered him climbing through the snowy mountains, roaming the frozen river, just to catch a snow fox she had once gently stroked. The fires of war blazed, and the winds of change howled. He could not bear to see her alone and helpless, her blood spilled beneath a sky filled with blades and spears. He cleansed her meridians and replaced her blood, abandoned his country, and fled into exile, vowing they would grow old together. She, too, could not bear to see him, burdened with the fate of an emperor, drift from country to country, battered by wind and rain. She was willing to stand by his side and fight on the battlefield. But fate was nothing more than a cruel joke. A divorce letter stained with blood, two hearts set on diverging paths. The four corners of the realm were pacified, and the land was unified. From atop the snowy mountain, she gazed toward his palace. At its foot, he looked up at the one land that refused to submit to him, and at his wife. When will she turn back to look? When will she finally understand that there is no such thing as hatred born of love? She is simply using hatred as a way to keep loving him.
