Many years later, someone asked Xu Mochen, “Young Master Xu, I heard your marriage to your wife was arranged. Is that true?” Xu Mochen replied, “That’s right.” Someone else asked, “Then didn’t you object, Young Master Xu?” Xu Mochen said, “Of course I objected. I have my pride, don’t I?” As he spoke, Young Master Xu noticed his wife standing nearby with a dark look on her face and hurriedly added, “I was very happy about it, really happy!” “Mrs. Xu, would you like to say a few words?” Ying Qingxin said, “I’m very happy with my marriage. It’s just my husband I’m not happy with!” Young Master Xu looked glum. “My dear, tonight we’ll settle the score and find out just how happy you are!”
