I have to admire the author for your imagination, it is very imaginative. It is very novel to use science fiction to reflect reality, in order to highlight the damage caused by humans to the earth. Actually, I haven't read much science fiction, so I can't give you any constructive suggestions. But I think one thing is that you use too long a chapter to describe the big environment at the beginning. It takes up a full chapter. This is a big taboo in this kind of writing. It is a bit slow to get into the topic. 🤫 Just introduce the background in a few strokes, or insert it into the story. Better come on!
