Stay Right There, I'm Coming Over

[A sweet story about a nursing student and a surgeon.] [There's a little campus romance at first, followed by an internship and then their working lives!] I waited for you to grow up so I could spend the rest of my life with you. In her final semester at university, Lu Wantong married Du Ruo, a surgeon. They got their marriage license before falling in love. She thought they were both being forced into it, but in fact, someone had planned it all along. One day, Lu Wantong turned to Du Ruo, phone in hand, and asked, “Do you love me? Am I important to you?” Du Ruo set down the book he was holding, walked over, and picked her up. “You sure weigh a lot,” he said slowly. Lu Wantong struggled, then jumped down from his arms and glared at him. Du Ruo came closer and pulled her into his embrace. She buried her face against his chest, listening to his strong, steady heartbeat. Du Ruo bent his head and whispered in her ear, “I thought about it carefully that day. You're my sinoatrial node. You have to stay close to me, or it will stop beating. My whole life is in your hands. Do you hear that? It's beating for you.” And so their story began!!!
