I’m Really Not a Billionaire

Wu Yi received a challenge: pretend to be a “500-million-wealthy man” for a year, and he would receive a million as a reward once he succeeded. (On paper, he had won a 700-million grand prize, but after income tax he was left with only 560 million, so people called him a “500-million-wealthy man.” In reality, though, he had only 100,000 yuan to his name...)

But to everyone's surprise, thanks to the “500-million-wealthy man” title, he became a real billionaire a year later!

P.S. Simply put, this is a 2020 version of The Million Pound Bank Note.
