The Day the End Comes

Image data transmitted from satellites showed that it was a "cigar-shaped" meteorite that entered the solar system from the ecliptic plane at one thousandth the speed of light. It then continued to slow down until the speed attenuated to the point where it was captured by the Earth. Then it fell into the Earth's atmosphere. In the troposphere, its outer shell shattered into 177 fragments, which were carried around the world along with the air currents. Due to its huge speed, it has already arrived before countries can launch missiles to destroy it. To use a less vivid metaphor to describe it - it's like being hit by a photon.
