The Adventures of One Person and One Cat

Writing books and reading books are completely different things. Today I read a beautiful novel with a western fantasy background, The Blue Sword. Following the pictures painted by the author, I felt as if I was in such a strange and artistic silent palace, a fragmented island in the demiplane of the subconscious ocean, and I could even see the runes outlined on the arched roof. It's really amazing. How can I make my paintings so real and visible?
