The Everyday Life of a Landlord

A lot of people think collecting rent just means checking the utilities at the start of the month and going door to door to collect money. But it’s not that simple. There are plenty of tricks in the rental business.

For example: Shopkeeper A has a shabby storefront but wants to take advantage of a new subway opening to transfer the lease and pocket a huge fee. How do you deal with that?

Answer: Leave it to Yang Fan.

Or how about this: Shopkeeper B secretly sublets the storefront under the pretense of changing the type of business, then happily plays the middleman landlord. What do you do about that?

Answer: Leave it to Yang Fan.

And then there’s this: Business owner C comes in voluntarily, rents an entire apartment building from a village collective at well above market rates, converts it into a branded apartment complex, and teams up with financial institutions to make a killing. What do you do about that?

Answer: Still leave it to Yang Fan.

This is a lighthearted story about everyday life, full of laughs and goofy antics, sometimes funny, sometimes downright ridiculous.

Also, this is a parallel world, so don’t assume it refers to anyone in particular. Any resemblance is purely made up.
