The Secret Legacy of a New Age

Child! Even if it’s only for the child!

The arrest warrant has already been issued. The truth is, there’s nothing I can do...

But... must a child pay for my sins?!

...I’m sorry.

Those people only know how to lecture the ones who once helped them, and only when they no longer need protection.

Back then, when I took this position, I still thought I could create a world where everyone was equal and everyone could live freely and happily.

It’s too hard. No, is it simply impossible?

Child, we’ll meet again. It’s only a matter of time, though the problem is with me.

Hmm, what?

You’re just wailing. Did the thunder scare you?

There are plenty of frightening things in this world. You’re only a day or two old, so you’ll learn about them slowly.

Hmm, I’m your father. What? You can’t say anything yet, can you?

I still don’t know what it feels like to be a father...

The child will be leaving soon. The rain is about to stop...

Oh, right. I should give you a name. The days ahead will be hard, won’t they?

Then I’ll call you... Nuoji.
