Life in the Mountain Countryside

Qing Luo transmigrates from a modern society on the brink of the apocalypse to ancient times. She wakes in her bedroom to the sound of her maid crying. At first, she assumes she’ll have to contend with a wicked stepmother, a half-sister, and a pedantic father who blindly believes whatever he hears. But then her father, a sixth-rank official, is implicated in a case, and the whole family is exiled to their ancestral home. Just as she thinks she’s in for an ordinary rural life full of family squabbles, troublesome relatives, and making a fortune, a mountain hunter marries her and takes her home. Then, just as she expects a cozy life of him farming while she weaves, the plants and animals, so similar to those of the modern world, begin to mutate. The land changes, too. The ancient world begins to descend into an apocalypse, just like the modern one. In this life... Qing Luo looks up at the tall figure who has always stood by her side, protecting her, and smiles. This life will surely be different from her last. She will always have someone beside her, keeping her safe.
