My Strawberry-Scented Boy

A sugary-sweet youth romance to stir your long-dormant girlish heart. Is the person who once went to class with you still waiting for you to get off work? ◆ In their first year of high school, she is cornered and teased by a gang of troublemakers outside a subway station. He, the “leader of the troublemakers,” drops from the sky to play the hero and save the beauty. As they part, she sternly warns him, “Don’t let your buddies pull this kind of thing again!” But he keeps his hands in his pockets and gazes at her, warm and sly. “What kind of thing?” ◆ After the students are divided into arts and sciences classes, he brazenly takes the seat she saved for the person she likes. Flustered and furious, she turns to leave, but he reaches out and grabs her arm. “What’s wrong... afraid to sit next to me? Afraid you’ll fall for me?” “...” ◆ With the college entrance exams approaching, she is nervous. She keeps her head on the desk, muttering, “I think whether I pass the exams depends on whether Heaven likes me.” “But does it like you or not?” “Look up,” he orders. She raises her head and meets his bright, starry eyes. “It does.” Later, when everyone misunderstands him, he doesn’t care. He only tells her, “Tang Yijin, you don’t need to figure out who’s right and who’s wrong. Just stay on my side. That’s all.” Later still, she finally understands what it means when they say, “A person can be like a rainbow. You only know it exists once you’ve met them!” Maybe her first flutter of love was when the fake honor student stood there with a lollipop in his mouth, explaining a problem to her and breathing out the lovely scent of strawberries. Jiang Jinshen, everyone else tastes bitter, but you’re the only one who tastes like strawberries! I’m so grateful you came into my life. I could like you for years!
