Demons Lurk Beneath the Mountain

Su Yang: Master, I have a problem.

Master: Please, tell me about it.

Su Yang: I’m a cultivator, but I keep running into ghosts.

Master: The path of cultivation is never smooth. This is a trial to strengthen you.

Su Yang: There are also zombies and spirits.

Master: You should guide them through your words and actions. Teach everyone without discrimination.

Su Yang glanced at his home. There was his little sister, whose faith was her brother; a female zombie sprawled on the sofa watching dramas; an elegant, virtuous female ghost; a little girl who gamed day and night; and a lobster spirit holding a wooden sign that read, “Say no to crayfish.”

Su Yang: They’re all women.

Master: Teaching knows no boundaries of race, let alone gender.

Su Yang: The thing is, they’re all gorgeous, with fair skin and beautiful faces.

Master: You could dig a hole.

Su Yang, delighted: You mean I should bury all my troubles in it?

The Master raised an eyebrow. No, I want you to lie in it.
