Our life is not comfortable, but it is definitely warm and prosperous. Therefore, it is difficult to write those heroic and chivalrous plots, which are all relative to individuals. Like today's fantasy, it is largely a variation of the original martial arts, but it eliminates the concepts of "country", "nation" and "honor and disgrace" and focuses more on the individual. I don't know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm going too far... Actually, I want to say that for popular novels, if there is no innovative vitality injected into them, the subject matter will easily become "rigid", "aging" and "corrupted". Many people are clamoring that "wuxia is dead" is based on this principle, but let me say that martial arts are not dead, they are just asleep. I don't have the ability to climb the heights of martial arts, and no one who is more literary, knowledgeable, and full of strategies than me can do it, let alone a little writer like me who only knows some cleverness and ingenuity. I can only find another way, add some gods, demons, immortals and Buddhas to accompany me along the way to deviate from the orthodoxy and express some personal complaints. I hope that fellow fans who love martial arts can discuss its plot together, just like heroes from all over the world gather together to cook wine and laugh about the world.
