The Legend of the Sacred Sect in the Three Kingdoms

This book tells of the grudges and passions between the Zhang and Mo families, two martial arts clans in the late Eastern Han dynasty. The Zhangs and Mos had both lived in Julu for generations and belonged to martial arts families, so it was only natural that each wanted to prove itself superior. Ten years ago, the heads of the two families agreed to a duel on Mount Taihang and fought there for five days and nights. In the end, Mo Fang, head of the Mo family, lost by a single move and died a tragic death, while Zhang Xiong, head of the Zhang family and victor, was also gravely wounded and passed away not long afterward. Years later, the next heads of both families fell as well. The protagonist, Zhang Yu, is the only son of the head of the Julu Zhang family. At ten, he left home for Jiangxia Saber Sect and became a disciple of Bajue, then regarded as the greatest beneath the half-step immortals. Eight years later, Zhang Yu set out to travel the martial world at his master’s command, and the story began. After overcoming a series of hardships, he finally killed Mo Wudao of the Mo family. Along the way, he endured the three great tribulations of martial cultivation: the killing tribulation, the tribulation of the heart, and the tribulation of love. He then shattered the void and ascended.
