This System Doesn't Play by the Rules

After encountering a System that refused to play by the rules, Li Hai was left with nothing but a headache and deep helplessness.

Sure enough, just after finishing his latest chapter, Li Hai received a mission from the System: [The Author Who Does Whatever He Wants]: As a future great author, how can you keep obediently writing? Show the ordinary people some personality! From now on, you can only update a chapter when readers tip at least 100,000 Qidian Coins. If they want bonus chapters, they must double their tips.

“System, this isn't right. I'm still trying to climb the monthly ticket rankings. If you pull a stunt like this, I might lose my attendance bonus. How about...” Li Hai gazed pleadingly at the System.

“The System cannot process the Host's request. Please complete the mission.”

“Ugh...” Li Hai pressed a hand to his forehead and could only write in his update notice: “Today I'll only update if someone tips me a League Master. Bonus chapters require double the tip.”

“Has this author gone freaking insane with greed?” cried a huge crowd of readers.
