“The only Li Mingxi I can accept is cold and heartless. A woman like that doesn’t need the softness of a woman’s feelings!” Su Luo and she were merely exchanging favors, but what he admired about her was her icy ruthlessness. “My mother wronged her. Whatever she does to me is only fair. I won’t hate her. If she wants to take everything I have, let her. It all belonged to her in the first place!” She hated him to the core because he was the son of the woman who had caused her mother’s death. Yet he was so tolerant of her that it drove her mad! “Why are you so good to me? No matter what you do, I won’t appreciate it!” She kept telling herself this, but could no longer deny that she had stopped hating him. No one is born into this world destined to be dark and bitter. We choose our own paths, and whether they are right or wrong, we have to keep walking!
