Wooden Brocade

In the grand estate, red silk and brocade fluttered as the bride entered. Her name was Mu Jin, a humble country girl from the mountains. By a twist of fate, she met the eldest master of the Guan family and rose overnight from obscurity to become a phoenix among women, inspiring envy and admiration throughout the city. When the eldest master died, white mourning cloth was hung high, and she was cast out. She had been the mistress of the Guan household, the wife the eldest master had formally married. Yet on this very day, she was driven from the Guan family and thrown into prison. Just when her world had fallen into darkness, he arrived like a ray of sunshine. He said to her, “Mu Jin, come with me.” As she began a new life, the devil who had secretly manipulated everything appeared once more, shattering all her hopes. His schemes trapped her at every turn, leaving her no way back. In the end, she was abducted and taken back to the Guan family. The same bridal chamber, the same bride, the same status as mistress of the Guan household. The difference was that this time, her eyes were not covered. [Simply put, this is the blood-and-tears story of a humble country girl who gradually rises to become the mistress of a noble household.]
