A Marriage Gone Wrong, A Love That Runs Deep

They say the man she's supposed to marry is cursed: every new bride who enters the Rong household dies within a month. So how many days will Guan Jiaren, who marries into the Rong family by mistake, survive? Did the two young mistresses who died in the third-floor study take their own lives while mentally ill, or were they murdered? Will Guan Jiaren, who has woken up in that study several times, also meet her end there? Is the Rong family cursed by an evil spirit, or is this the work of a person? After all the trials and tribulations their relationship has endured, can they finally heal their wounds? [Optional Mini-Scene One] Guan Jiaren jumps around in distress. “Ah! I'm about to lose it! I don't want to die in the study!” Rong Hancheng: “Then how about the bed?” Guan Jiaren: “Get kicked into the sky!” Irresponsible Author: “Relax. The heroine usually doesn't die before the story ends.” [Optional Mini-Scene Two] Rong Hancheng: “Can't our relationship withstand these setbacks?” Guan Jiaren: “How about I try running over your mother?” Rong Hancheng: “Even if I spend my whole life making amends, you still won't forgive me?” Irresponsible Author: “Relax. By the conventions of romance novels, the hero and heroine are definitely going to end up together.” … A friendly warning: this isn't a suspense story. The irresponsible author is just trying to make things sound mysterious.
