The Ghost Bride: From Handsome God to Total Oddball in a Second

The appearance of a jade hairpin brings Princess Yan Lizhen, long sealed away, back into the world. Her arrival turns Yuan Jungan’s life upside down.

For certain special reasons, their fates become intertwined. To keep her host, Yuan Jungan, alive and to recover her own past, Yan Lizhen guides him down an extraordinary path.

One mysterious legend after another appears before them, and the truth of history is gradually revealed.

Before Yan Lizhen appeared, Yuan Jungan was the campus heartthrob in white, the kind of man whose mere glance could make hearts flutter.

But after Yan Lizhen appears, the heartthrob’s behavior takes a decidedly strange turn...

Some student: “Yuan is talking to himself again. This time he’s even gesturing! Has he really gone crazy?”

Yuan Jungan: “...I’m not crazy! I have OCD. When I hear someone speaking, I can’t help answering out loud. How is that my fault?”

Yan Lizhen: “Insolence! Who else should I blame but you?”

*

Some ghost: “That kid is actually with her. He must be crazy, with no fear of death!”

Yuan Jungan: “...I’m really not crazy! If I weren’t with her, I’d be a dead man!”

Yan Lizhen: “Why aren’t you hurrying over to serve the princess her meal? Do you want to die?”

*

Some Taoist priest: “Now you understand, young man?”

Yuan Jungan: “So I really am crazy?!”

Yan Lizhen: “I knew you were crazy!”
