A Moment of Passion

He whispered in her ear, “Ning Wan, I’m not so easy to get rid of. Without my permission, who would dare marry you?” So he ruined her engagement party and drove away her fiancé. He said, “Ning Wan, I’ve waited for you for thirteen years. It wasn’t so I could watch you marry someone else.” She said, “Xiao Yunqing, even if you bind me to you with nothing but a thin piece of paper, my heart still won’t belong to you. I’ll make you regret marrying me.” He said, “Ning Wan, if giving you my heart still can’t win yours, then I’ll give you the rest of this body too, to do with as you please. Bite me, tear at me, kill me, dismember me, take your revenge. I’ll let you do anything!” * He forced her to marry him, yet on their first wedding anniversary, he let her discover that her best friend was five months pregnant. “Today is... Thank you for giving me such a birthday present. I’ll never forget this day for as long as I live!” She smiled, held her head high, and turned away, but when the car exploded, not a trace of her remained. “Wawa!” he cried, his eyes red, but he could never call her back. * Do you remember that year beneath the cherry trees? His fingertips wound through her silky hair, his eyes warm as he asked, “Wawa, when we grow up, will you marry me?” The word “yes” still echoed in his ears, but who had forgotten the promise they made that day? Beneath the cherry trees, the fragrance still lingered. He turned around, but his Wawa was nowhere to be seen. *
