Dear readers, please note that this story has officially been renamed The Xuanyuan Palace.
The Xuanyuan Palace continues the story of Blood in the Wind. If you feel Blood in the Wind had any shortcomings, please leave a comment with your suggestions. That book only covered Leng Sang, Leng Xin, and Leng Miao leaving the Xuanyuan Palace and their chance encounters in the martial world.
The Xuanyuan Palace tells the story of the three reuniting. They're wild, eccentric, mischievous, and destructive, turning the entire martial world upside down. They refuse to compromise with anyone and have no taboos. Their outrageous behavior leaves people stunned, speechless, awestruck, and breathless. They'll roam to the ends of the earth, avenge every wrong, stir up every bit of trouble, meddle in every affair, and never back down from a fight. When it's time to flee for their lives, they'll never be left behind. They understand each other perfectly and would brave any danger for one another, even if it cost them their lives! What kind of story will unfold when these three demons come together? Stay tuned. Feuds in the martial world, tangled relationships, and duels to the death will all begin in The Xuanyuan Palace. The mysteries left unresolved in Blood in the Wind will be revealed, and all the grudges and conflicts will finally come to an end here!
Many characters will appear in The Xuanyuan Palace. After all, this is the martial world! There are hero gatherings and martial arts tournaments... With too few people, the martial world would lose its spirit. Besides, these aren't secret meetings. Introducing too many characters at once might take the focus away from the main story, so please forgive any oversights.
Excerpt One
A moment later, Leng Yan gathered his inner strength and used the Thousand-Mile Voice Transmission technique to call out, “Li Mo.”
Leng Yan's lips curved into a faint smile.
Hearing this, Leng Sang froze, then couldn't help laughing. “How shameless. What a low trick.”
Leng Yan placed his flute at his waist and shrugged, unbothered.
A man dressed in silver, his face hidden behind a mask, appeared beside Leng Yan. Everyone gasped. Where had this man come from? A mysterious figure... Who was he? He appeared and disappeared without a trace... All they knew was that he had suddenly appeared beside Leng Yan. Judging by his clothes and the mask on his face... Could he be the rumored right-hand man of Leng Yan, the “Ice Flute of the Frozen Soul,” the “Faceless God of Death”? So his name was Li Mo. They said he was vicious, able to kill with a single palm strike from within fifty paces. His martial arts skills were unfathomably deep and strange, no less impressive than Leng Yan's. Yet no one knew why he willingly served Leng Yan, obeying his every command.
“Take her away,” Leng Yan said to Li Mo, his face expressionless.
“Yes.” Li Mo cupped his hands in greeting, his eyes fixed on Leng Sang. His stare made Leng Sang's scalp prickle and left her feeling deeply uncomfortable.
“You... don't come any closer.” Leng Sang clutched the tree, her hands trembling and her face suddenly pale.
Excerpt Two
“Brother Zhuluo, was I wrong?”
“Miao'er.” Zhuluo had no answer to Leng Miao's question.
The person standing before Zhuluo was none other than Leng Miao. Other than her black pupils having turned blue, nothing else had changed. Her beauty could topple kingdoms, and with her blue eyes she was even more alluring.
Leng Miao smiled at Zhuluo, her smile ethereal and elusive. Looking at her, Zhuluo suddenly felt a terrible ache in his heart. Leng Miao's face was pale, her lips bloodless. Raindrops fell one by one from the strands of hair on her forehead and slid down her cheeks. Her clothes were already soaked through.
Seeing Leng Miao like this made Zhuluo want to cherish her. He opened his arms and held her close. Through their clothes, he felt a sudden warmth against his chest. Leng Miao reached up and touched the corner of her eye. A clear droplet rested on her fingertip. She stared at it in confusion. Was this the legendary tear? So she could cry, too. Had that water really come from her eyes?
Excerpt Three
“You felt this way back then, too, didn't you?” Li Mo murmured. This feeling was even harder to bear than learning of his elder brother's death. Leng Miao's words came back to him: “Watching the person you love die in your arms while you can do nothing to help, that grief and helplessness are enough to corrode a person...”
