"Chinese Style Theory: Original Generation and Modern Evolution" uses methods such as contextual restoration, original classic analysis, historical integration, and comparison between China and Japan to deeply reflect on many issues in the original generation and modern evolution of Chinese stylistics. First, from the conceptual level, we examine the evolution process from the dominant "wen" and "article" concepts in the pre-Qin and Han dynasties to the "style" concept that emerged in the late Han and Wei dynasties, compare the different connotations of the "article" concept and the "style" concept, analyze the literary motivations and cultural context of the generation and development of ancient stylistic theory, and reveal the literary historical significance of the concept of "style" and the emergence of stylistic theory. It then traces the evolution of Chinese stylistics from tradition to modernity, and reveals the formation history of modern Chinese stylistics with "linguistic form" as its core connotation under the multiple historical and cultural backgrounds such as Sino-Japanese exchanges, changes in ancient and modern times, and the spread of Western learning to the east. The Japanese acceptance of traditional stylistic concepts and the different influences of modern Japanese stylistic concepts, Western genres and stylistics on the formation process of modern Chinese stylistic concepts, and an in-depth exploration of the internal dynamics, mechanisms and laws of the spread, influence, evolution and transformation of Chinese, Japanese and Western "style" concepts. "Chinese Style Theory: Primitive Generation and Modern Evolution" also uses the reinterpreted ancient stylistic theory as the academic basis to elucidate the origin and development of the seven-character poetry style as well as important literary theory categories such as "tongbian", "character" and "qizheng" in a more consistent with the historical context.

China's modern cultural transformation may have been like the development of Western modern culture, with a romantic cultural movement accompanying it. However, in China, the transforming modern culture has always been dominated by the urgent needs of social reality, and social reality has not given it a little room to breathe. As a result, such a cultural movement that was originally romanticism has turned into a high-profile realism movement. "History of Contemporary Chinese Literary Criticism" takes the theoretical criticism of realism as a main line, reveals its entire process of construction and movement, radicalization and transition, variation and diversity, and examines the difficult path that Chinese contemporary literary criticism has taken. Because of realism, Chinese literary criticism strictly limits itself and can only dance within the boundaries given by realism; also because of realism, Chinese literary criticism is deeply imprinted with its own history. All realistic desires, burdens, and escapes are related to this. Literary criticism and literary creation seem to bear and atone for reality. The history of literary criticism is not simply about political affirmation or negation. It is intense and pathos, crude and complex, direct yet changeable.

The discussion in this book revolves around Terry Eagleton's "non-literary theory" writings, but the exploration of his "literary theory" is also one of the purposes of this small book. The author always believes that just as one can never be "behind theory," one cannot truly be "outside theory." On the contrary, when faced with practical problems in different historical situations, people can only constantly break through the language cages and conceptual shackles imposed by previous theories, relentlessly explore the ways of thinking and research methods provided by new theories, and try to make their own theoretical responses while adhering to their own theoretical positions.

"A Study on the Qi-Liang Poetry Style in the Late Tang Dynasty" takes the Qi-Liang Poetry Style in the late Tang Dynasty as the research object, and explores the poetic phenomena of the Late Tang Dynasty related to Qi-Liang elements from different perspectives such as form, content, and rhetoric. It not only summarizes the main manifestations of the Qi-Liang poetry style in the late Tang Dynasty and its changes with the times, but also analyzes the origins, life experiences and different types of writers involved in the Qi-Liang poetry style in the late Tang Dynasty. It also analyzes the various possibilities of combining the Qi-Liang poetry style with the late Tang era based on the combination of genres and themes. From the perspective of genre, this article divides the genres involved in the Qi-Liang poetic style in the late Tang Dynasty into two categories, namely the typical Qi-Liang genre that originated in the Qi-Liang Dynasty and the atypical Qi-Liang genre that was finalized and flourished after the prosperous Tang Dynasty. It outlines the efforts of the late Tang poets to learn the former, and the efforts to integrate the latter with Qi-Liang elements. From the perspective of subject matter, this article summarizes eight major themes that are closely related to Qi and Liang poetry styles, thereby exploring the relationship between Qi and Liang poetry styles and Qi and Liang poetics in the late Tang Dynasty, and analyzing the different ways in which poets in the late Tang Dynasty dealt with Qi and Liang themes based on different genres in the Tang poetry system. Through the above research, I have made my own thoughts on the Tang poetry system and the evolution history of modern poetry.

"History of Chinese Science Fiction in the 20th Century" is the final monograph of the National Social Science Fund key project "History of Chinese Science Fiction in the 20th Century". Chinese science fiction has experienced ups and downs in the 20th century, a historical process of origin, evolution, transformation and finally maturity. During this period, literary genres grew from scratch, the team of writers grew from small to large, works from scarce to inexhaustible, and social influence underwent complex changes. "History of Chinese Science Fiction in the 20th Century" sorts out five periods in the history of Chinese science fiction in the 20th century - the development of science fiction in the late Qing Dynasty, the development of science fiction in the Republic of China, the development of science fiction in the early Republic of China, the development of science fiction in the new era, and the development of science fiction at the turn of the century. It introduces the creative background, basic features and representative works of writers in each period, and more comprehensively reflects the development process of Chinese science fiction and the works of important writers and creative genres in the 20th century.

After Freud, there were many famous figures in the field of psychoanalysis, but the most outstanding one was Jacques Lacan, because Lacan revolutionized the psychoanalysis created by Freud. However, what is significant is that Lacan's guideline for implementing this revolutionary transformation is to "return to Freud." Of course, "returning to Freud" is not to repeat Freud, but to return to the correct direction prescribed by Freud for psychoanalysis. The use of literary criticism is one of the important means for Lacan to construct his psychoanalytic theory, but he does not use psychoanalysis to explain literary phenomena, nor does he use literary phenomena to support psychoanalytic theory, but uses literary criticism to develop psychoanalysis. Because of this, Lacan's psychoanalysis has opened up a broader realm for literary and cultural criticism.

This volume is "Comparative Literature Research". It mainly explains that in the field of comparative literature, "text close reading" is the basis for research, and "multicultural context" is the basic perspective for observing culture. It strives to finally reveal the nature of multiple types of culture in the civilized era in the channel of "incorrect understanding" of the flow and transmission of civilization, thereby elucidating the original basic theory of cultural "genetics" with cultural "variation" as the core.

"Studies on Western Literary Theory and British Romanticism in the Twentieth Century" critically cleans up the interaction between Western literary theory and British Romantic literary studies in the twentieth century. The basic point of "Research on Western Literary Theory and British Romanticism in the Twentieth Century": There is a close mutually reinforcing relationship between the reconstruction of British Romantic literary classics in the twentieth century and the development of Western literary theory in the twentieth century. On the one hand, British romantic literature provided rich soil for the growth of Western literary theory in the 20th century. On the other hand, literary theory in the 20th century further expanded the canonization of British romantic literature in theoretical exploration - there is a subtle interactive relationship between literary theory and literary classics. The study of British romantic literature by Western literary theory in the 20th century fully reflects the major issues of Western literary criticism: the strong exclusivity between critical paradigms, the internal research of The mutual exclusivity of research and external research, and the resulting "over-interpretation" problem; "Research on Western Literary Theory and British Romanticism in the Twentieth Century" attempts to use Mr. Chen Yinke's "Mutual Evidence of Literature and History" as a guide to tentatively explore how to combine aesthetic contemplation and historical textual research in literary criticism to construct the boundaries of literary interpretation, and use this as a starting point to further think about the importance of Chinese academic research methods to foreign literature research.

Although the ecological roots of literature in human civilization have a long history, the ecological literature genre with conscious ecological awareness roughly originated during the Enlightenment period in the 18th century in the West. It is a new literary product born of the emerging industrial and technological revolution in the West. As the global ecological situation continues to deteriorate, ecological literature, which has been unknown for a long time, has suddenly emerged, launching a more comprehensive, profound, and imaginative response to the mainstream social survival paradigm, and has become an important cultural force in promoting social ecological transformation. Today's world ecological literature is full of vitality, with diverse genres and changing writing styles, but overall it focuses on the non-human natural world and pursues the sustainable and harmonious symbiosis between humans and the non-human natural world. "Lectures on Ecological Literature" is an ecological literature work that integrates famous ecological literature writers in different cultural contexts in China. It provides a detailed and new presentation of 28 biographical ecological writers, ecological poets, ecological essayists and ecological novelists, and provides a wonderful interpretation of their representative works. "Ecological Literature Lectures and Readings" not only provides a unique understanding and definition of ecological literature, a concise summary of its evolution process, but also an in-depth and simple explanation of the creation and interpretation methods of ecological literature. Appreciating ecological works with diverse genres, different styles, and diverse ideas can help awaken people's dormant ecological conscience, cultivate their conscious ecological awareness, enhance their ecological aesthetic ability, shape their sound ecological personality, and then promote the construction of a beautiful, harmonious, inclusive, and sustainable world ecological community.

Interesting Narratology
Literature趣味叙事学
Fu Xiuyan
The strong narratology craze is now sweeping across China. However, narratology is a theoretically difficult subject, and not many people in China are truly familiar with this subject. The original purpose of narratology is to help people better understand narrative phenomena, but some classic narratologists arrogantly claim that structural analysis is not the "handmaiden of interpretation" and that "the purpose of narratology is to classify and describe." This is nothing more than imprisoning narratology in a tall ivory tower. Each section of "Interesting Narratology" uses a question as its title. The text is fresh and easy to understand. It changes some readers' impression that narratology is boring and strives to complete an interesting narrative that is simple and engaging.

"Novel Theory Materials in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China" contains nearly 300 theoretical materials on novels from 1897 to 1916. The theory of novels in this period was both rich and poor. It was rich because it proposed many meaningful propositions, and it was poor because most of these new propositions were not well developed. However, these complex and superficial propositions contain infinite vitality. To some extent, they indicate the development direction of Chinese novels in the 20th century, and also indicate the difficulty of conceptual change. The editor took gold from the sand and selected a large number of historical materials, including essays, prefaces and postscripts, publication words, reviews, notes, advertisements, letters, and fragments and comments of individual works, to comprehensively and accurately reflect the overall picture of novel theory in this period.

Qigong Lecture Record
Literature启功讲学录
Written By Qi Gong And Edited By Zhao Rengui And Others
At Beijing Normal University, Mr. Qi Gong has successively taught literary history courses focusing on the literature of the Tang Dynasty and poems of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, academic ideological history courses focusing on the Han Dynasty, Song Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty, basic ancient book compilation courses focusing on cultural knowledge and literature knowledge, and other courses. These constitute the four parts of this book: On Literature, On Academic Thought, On Collation of Ancient Books and Others. In each part, there are both macro generalizations and specific analytical examples; what is particularly valuable is that it can connect all generations and observe the development and changes of academic and literature in the past from a historical perspective. For example, when discussing academic thought, it starts from the culture of the early people and continues to the ancient Chinese classics of Hanology, Song Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty, which fully reflects Mr. Qi's overall observation of Chinese academic thought. Because it is compiled based on students' notes, the language of this book is lively and the viewpoints are novel, making it both educational and interesting to read.

Hamlet: Notes and Interpretations
Literature哈姆雷特:注释与解读
Zhang Pei
"Hamlet's Problem" is an explanation and interpretation of the Western classic "Hamlet". On the basis of careful reading of the original text, the author attempts to combine Chinese and Western classics in the form of notes and poems to examine the life issues such as sacrifice, self-understanding, revenge, life and death that Hamlet, the eternal mirror of mankind, faces from a dual cultural perspective, and deeply analyzes Hamlet's character and existential circumstances, as well as the individual destiny formed by the conflict between the two. The author's multi-dimensional interpretation of Hamlet's classic soliloquy "To be or not to be?" Not only refers to the philosophical proposition that Hamlet thinks about as a "frozen mirror" of human beings/human nature, but also covers the thinking of literary categories such as "tragedy". It can be said that what the title indicates to readers is not only a problem of Hamlet as a person, a problem of metaphysical "people", but also a problem of the play "Hamlet" itself. "Tobe, or not tobe" is not only the object of the author's interpretation, but also the clue and hub for the unfolding of the interpretation.

Research on Dual Narrative Process
Literature双重叙事进程研究
Shendan
The "dual narrative process" composed of plot development and "hidden process" is the theoretical concept and research model pioneered by the author of this book at home and abroad. This is the world's most systematic theoretical discussion and practical analysis of the "dual narrative process". It breaks through the shackles of the narrative research tradition that has focused on plot development from ancient times to the present, broadens its horizons to the "hidden process" that advances parallel to the plot, and deeply explores the complex interactive relationship between the two. The first part of this book constructs its own innovative theoretical system from seven aspects. Although this theory can be applied to works containing dual narrative processes in different genres and different media, in order to systematically explain a genre, the next "work analysis" focuses on Western classic short stories, which not only reveals how different authors construct dual narrative processes, but also reveals how the same author uses different methods to create dual narrative processes.

This book is one of the "Youxue" series. This book focuses on the study of the mental changes of scholars as the elite of the era in the historical transition period of the late Ming Dynasty. It is believed that the changes in the mentality of the scholars are closely related to the social and cultural changes in the late Ming Dynasty, and are also the result of the long-term development and evolution of the mentality of the scholars. As a group, the scholars of the late Ming Dynasty had a basic psychological trend, which was the disintegration of the ideal personality, striving for the unity of morality and political unity, the awakening of the self, and the promotion of individuality; as for individuals, each scholar had a different personality, and their mentality was also very different. While discussing the group mentality, a case analysis was also conducted on the mentality of four representative scholars who made achievements in literature or thought in the late Ming Dynasty.

“西游”新说十三讲

"Journey to the West" is a classical masterpiece with long-lasting influence and unique style. On the one hand, it is popular and simple, and contains fairy tale elements that make it suitable for readers of all ages. On the other hand, since its publication, it has been controversial, especially its unique discourse status, which has led to various interpretations. There are two fundamental problems to be solved that are closely related to the interpretation of the work: one is the theme of the work. Readers have always understood "The Uprising in Heaven" as a rebellion against the obsessive rule of Heaven, and there is even a saying that it "reflects the peasant uprising". However, this creates a logical contradiction with the plot of Wukong's conversion later in the article, especially the plot of destroying other monsters after his conversion. Nowadays, the general way to interpret this contradiction is to "divide it into two parts" and let everyone talk about it in his own way. But interpreting a long masterpiece by bypassing contradictions in this way is not a rigorous and persuasive approach after all. The other is the contradiction between the discourse system and narrative attitude of the work. The work uses a lot of inner alchemy discourse in the narrative process, and even copies a lot of Quanzhen Taoist poems and articles. However, the plot of the novel contains many arrangements that are unfavorable or even hostile to Taoism. How to explain this contradictory phenomenon? "Thirteen Lectures on New Theory" was written to solve these two problems. In recent years, the author has published a series of articles on this topic in publications such as "Literary Heritage", "Research on Ming and Qing Novels", and "Journal of Nankai University". From a macro perspective and a micro perspective, based on the new materials discovered, on the basis of the above research results, he further integrated and improved this book.
