About This Novel
This book is a collection of poet and critic Wang Zhijun's poetry reading and writing courses at Peking University. Based on his many years of poetry writing and reading experience, the author focuses on six aspects of poetry: content, lyricism, sound, language, structure and realm, clarifying common misunderstandings and proposing unique insights. In the author's opinion, understanding the six aspects of poetry is an introductory and fundamental issue to poetry, and is the foundation of the concept of modern poetry. Only by understanding these issues can we establish the most basic aesthetic awareness of modern poetry and even all art.
